Personal Devices
Any employee or student wishing to bring their own computing device must adhere to the district's policy concerning personal devices.
Microsoft Office
Students and employees can install Microsoft Office on their personal devices as part of the district's licensing agreement with Microsoft.
Acceptable Use
All parties that use District technology must adhere to the district's acceptable use policy. Access is a privilege and must be used in a resonable manner.
Discounts and Benefits
Dell has a program called the Member Purchase Program and through this program they offer special promotions and discounts for personal purchases. These offers are available to all faculty/staff/members/students/parents. The promotions are on consumer products such as their Inspiron/XPS/Alienware systems as well as some electronics and accessories. State employees are eligible for a 15% discount on your personal wireless service and can now receive waived activation and upgrade fees. To see exclusive offers, employees can go to http://www.att.com/wireless/kygovemployee. Already an AT&T customer? Go to http://www.wireless.att.com/business/enrollment to register for the discount. Use your work email address as employee validation for the discount.
Verizon Wireless now offers an 18% discount to Commonwealth employees, an increase from the previous 15%. To make sure you're receiving this complete discount, visit Verizon Wireless, enter your work email address and "register your line." A 25% discount on accessories is also available.
