Murray High School senior, Lincoln English, was recognized as a 2024 Murray State University Presidential Fellow. English is one of 18 students awarded with the Presidential Fellowship, which includes full tuition, housing, and meals for up to four years at the University.
A five-year member of the MHS Varsity Basketball team and three-year MHS Basketball Captain, English is a KHSAA Triple Threat Award recipient. English is a two-time All A Regional Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Player honoree, an All-Region Tournament team member, and a two-time All-District Team representative.
English is recognized in the MHS ACT 30+ Club for scoring 30 or above on his ACT, and is a two-year member of the golf and tennis teams. A 2023 Governor’s Scholar Recipient, English is a member of FBLA, BETA, FFA, FCA, and Leadership Tomorrow.
The MSU Presidential Scholar recipients, who represent several regions across Kentucky along with three other states, will be part of the University’s Honors College, a community within Murray State that offers a unique honors curriculum, critical-thinking seminars and specialized programs and activities. Students selected for the Presidential Fellowship complete a rigorous application process that includes multiple interviews. During their time at Murray State, recipients of the fellowship are responsible for conducting extensive research projects and serving as leaders in the campus community.
English is the son of Mark and Becky English. Grandparents, Ailene Green, and the late Ron Greene, James and Elaine English, and Tom and Dianne Stice.
