Sheri Muehleman, Murray Independent School District (MISD) gifted and talented coordinator, has been named a 2024 KET (Kentucky Educational Television) All Star.
The KET All Star Program is an initiative, made possible with support from the KET John R. Hall Endowment for Education, to help celebrate and honor educators who exemplify excellence in teaching; and to foster positive outcomes for students by utilizing the trusted, quality resources and opportunities that only KET can provide.
Nominations were accepted from all instructional levels, including Early Childhood, K-12, Higher Education, Adult Education, and community education partners. In Muehleman’s award letter, Shae Hopkins, KET Executive Director and CEO, said, “Sheri’s selection is a testament to the dedication and passion she brings to education.”
Muehleman’s nomination highlighted her exemplary leadership. “Sheri consistently takes advantage of exciting and innovative opportunities for her students. She honors what students have the capability of becoming and brings to them experiences that will aid them in meeting and exceeding their future goals.”
As a KET All Star, Muehleman joins an elite group of educators from across the state recognized for their outstanding achievements and positive impact. Over the next couple of years, she will have the opportunity to share a wide variety of educational content and resources in her unique work environment and community of educators and learners.
Lou Carter, MISD assistant superintendent, said she is proud Muehleman has been named a KET All Star, while receiving a unique opportunity for Murray students. “She will participate in specialized training with twenty other educators across the state and, in doing so, she will gain knowledge and educational experiences to create positive learning opportunities for our Murray students,” Carter said. “This is such an extraordinary opportunity for both Mrs. Muehleman and our students. She will have high quality instructional resources to utilize in the classroom
