Murray Middle School Band will have ten students performing in the inaugural Kentucky Music Educators’ Association Middle School All State Band March 1-2. Those chosen to be a part of this inaugural ensemble from the over 800 students who auditioned are Benny Mehta, (2nd chair snare / also chosen as an alternate on mallets), Amelia Donnelly (2nd chair tuba), Zayne Iglesias (1st chair mallets / also made it on snare drum but chose mallets), Lydia Smith (17th chair flute), Kenny Vu (1st chair tenor sax) , Vinny D’Ambrosio (1st chair horn) , John Robert Ross–(third chair trumpet) , Wes Shelby and Cabot French, 1st chair trombone. (not Pictured – Edward Utgaard-4th chair trumpet and Bentley Gile -2nd alternate on tenor sax).
