MHS Tiger Band
The Tiger Band competed this past weekend at the prestigious Murray State University Festival of Champions. The band won first place band, color guard, and percussion in class 3a. Out of the 18 bands competing, the Tiger Band won best overall color guard, best marching, best woodwinds, best effect, best music performance, and named the Overall Grand Champion for the fourth year in a row. This makes the eighth time in school history that the band has won this event dating back to 1976. The band has won this event 1976, 1977, 2012, 2015, 2019, 2021, 2022, and now 2023.
