The Murray High Speech Team placed fourth in the state out of forty-three teams at the Kentucky High School Speech League State Tournament held at Northern Kentucky University. Rowan County placed first and Knott County Central came in second. Murray High School senior, Raegan Settle claimed State Champion in the Broadcasting Category, and Dramatic Interpretation Category.

Senior Gabriel Crass was named the 2023 Blyton Book Award winner for his work in speech and debate in our community and the Commonwealth during his four years at Murray High School.
