MHS FBLA Dress and Accessory Drive for Cinderella's Closet December 9

MHS FBLA Dress and Accessory Drive for Cinderella's Closet December 9

Murray High School FBLA is partnering with Cinderella's closet to host a community dress drive at Murray High School, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drop off instructions will be posted in the MHS Parking lot upon arrival, and FBLA members will be there to assist.

Cinderella's Closet Purchase Area Community, a ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church located in Paducah, Ky., held its first event in 2016. Cinderella's Closet is founded on the belief that providing formal wear and accessories for prom is simply a way to show God's extraordinary love to amazing young women. It's more than a dress. It is an experience as each young woman is shown grace, love and respect throughout the entire day. Their goal is to provide formal wear and accessories to one-hundred junior and seniors each year in the Jackson Purchase and surrounding areas. Since the beginning, the community has shown tremendous generosity, and has seen that contributing to something good is a blessing.

Young ladies will enter the boutique setting and receive the princess treatment the minute they walk through the doors. Each patron will have their own Fairy Godmother to assist in any way needed. It will take approximately eighty to one-hundred volunteers to make this day a success, and many material and monetary donations as well.

The give-away Cinderella's Closet event is set for March 18, 2023
