Stakeholders of Murray Independent Schools,
This evening (Thursday 11/10/22), the administration of Murray Middle School was made aware of possible threatening statements. After obtaining the information, the School Resource Officer and Murray Police Department began an investigation into the validity of the threats. After review, it was determined the statements are not credible.
The Murray Independent School District would like to inform families there were no threatening statements made toward specific students or campus facilities. Murray Middle School was never in jeopardy and would like to remind everyone that threats and threatening statements should never be made and such statements have consequences.
MISD would like to thank the Murray Police Department for their quick response, support, and investigation which led to a speedy resolution to this matter.
All district schools and programs will continue normal operations on Friday, November 11, 2022.
