2022 Murray High School Salutatorian Claims National FBLA Champion Status at FBLA National Leadership Conference
The Murray Independent School District congratulates Caroline Koenig---- FBLA National Impromptu Speaking Champion.
The ink on Caroline Koenig's 2022 MHS Diploma is still fresh from her Murray High School May 22, 2022 Graduation. Now, a fresh ink stamp of national achievement comes on the heels of graduation.
The 2022 MHS Salutatorian, Koenig wrapped up National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Chicago in a big way, while competing against top students in the U.S. and Canada. Caroline achieved champion status in the Regional, State, and FBLA National Impromptu Speaking Competition categories.
Amy McDowell, MHS FBLA Advisor, said Caroline is amazing and compliments Koenig on her MHS Speech experience, under the direction of Michael Robinson, MHS Speech Director. "Caroline's participation in the MHS Speech program has provided her with a strong public speaking platform," McDowell said. "She's quick on her feet when she's given a topic to prepare a four-minute speech in ten minutes."
McDowell said Koenig has an edge over her competitors. "She never uses the notecards she's handed, she just talks. She writes her notes down, but never looks at what she has written."

While a student at MHS, Koenig was a member of the MHS ACT +30 club, BETA Club, MHS History and Volleyball teams, Governor's Scholar alumnus, and Spanish Club. Named the 2022 MHS Most Likely to Succeed female, Koenig will attend Centre College this fall.
Koenig is the daughter of Stephen and Staci Koenig, Murray.
