Update of Food Services to MISD Families from Food Service Director

A message from April Adams, Murray Independent School District Food Services Director

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved an extension of the Federal Summer Food Program which allows Murray Independent School District to provide meals to ALL children and youth age 18 and younger at no cost. This change in the program began on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020.

Families will no longer have to provide student lunch account information or show identification when picking up meals. Additionally, families are no longer required to register for meal pick-up.

Meals will be available to pick up at all school locations listed below between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. daily.

For preparation purposes, Murray Independent School District Food Service ask families to utilize same pick up location each week. Meals will be provided, at a first come, first serve basis, at the sites and times below:

Location Times

Murray Elementary School                   11:30am-12:30pm

Murray Middle School                11:30am-12:30pm

Murray High School             11:30am-12:30pm

Murray Independent School District must adhere to all meal program changes made by the U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations. Any future program changes will be made public at such time.
