MISD Provides Meals to 794 Through Pick-Up and Delivery

MISD Provides Delivery and Pick Up and Go

Murray, Ky., March 18-----Murray Independent District Food Service and Transportation services delivered and provided 794 free breakfast and lunches through delivery and pick up services today.  This was provided to all students in the home, (18 and under).  Pickup will be daily at Murray Middle School at the following times:  Breakfast 7-8 a.m./Lunch 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Delivery is also available within the school district boundaries.  Calloway Schools will deliver outside of MISD boundaries.  Please call (270)753-4363 to schedule a delivery and/or pickup.

The Murray Independent School District is operating under Non-Traditional Instructional Days (March 16-March 27) per the recommendation of Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear. Although COVID-19 has not yet been found here, the measure is deemed necessary to slow or stop the virus’ spread into the Murray/Calloway County community.

Non-Traditional Instruction days allow for students to continue learning from home in the case of school closing, count for attendance, and as a school day.  NTI days do not have to be made up.  Teachers will work to provide resources for your students to continue learning at home through paper packets and/or digital resources.  Teachers will track student participation on these days digitally or when paper packets are returned.  Spring break has not changed, and is still scheduled for April 6th-10th

Students needing a device to complete online NTI assignments will be provided one.  Devices for student pick up started today and will continue until Friday, March, 20.  All device pick-ups will be provided in each MISD respective school’s front office at the following times:  Murray Elementary Students - MES Front Office – 9 a.m.-3 p.m.  Murray Middle Students – (MMS Cafeteria)  - 7-8 a.m., 11a.m.-12:30 p.m., and Murray High Students-(MHS Front Office) 9 a.m.-3 p.m.  If students do not have access to the Internet at home and need paper materials please contact your child’s teacher and/or school.      To reach each school for device pick up information please call:  (270) 753-5022 (Murray Elementary School), (270) 753-5125 (Murray Middle School), and (270) 753-5202 (Murray High School).
