MURRAY HIGH SPEECH WINS AWARDS
Murray, Ky., Nov. 5-----The Murray High Speech Team took third place at the Henry County Invitational Tournament in Paris, Tenn. Murray claimed third with 85 points. Ravenwood took first with 171 points. White House took second with 100 points. Collierville came in fourth with 82 points, Brentwood fifth with 48, and Dickson County with 47.
Murray High students advanced to finals and placed in the following categories: DRAMATIC INTERPRETATION (second) - Ella Brown-Terry, DUO INTERPRETATION(fourth) - Alyssa Daughrity/Meg Robinson, EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEAKING (third)- Kyra Shutt, (fourth) - Isaac Gallimore, IMPROMPTU SPEAKING (fourth) - Katelynn Stanczyk, (sixth) - Mia Todd, PROGRAM ORAL INTERPRETATION (sixth)- Katelynn Stanczyk, PROSE (first) - Raegan Settle, (third) - Ella Brown-Terry, and STORYTELLING (fourth)- Olivia Kelly.
The Murray High Speech Team will host the Tiger Invitational at Murray High School Saturday, Nov. 9. The Murray High School Speech Team is coached by Michael Robinson, and Assistant Coach, Selena McPherson.
