Murray Elementary School SBDM Minutes – February 27, 2017
(I) The Murray Elementary School SBDM met Monday, February 27, 2017 in Mrs. Powell’s room of Murray Elementary. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Whitaker. Members in attendance were Chuck Blanchard, Dana Henry, Jenn King, Maeve McCarthy, Riza Marjadi, and Nancy Newsome.

(II) MSU visitors introduced themselves.

(III) The agenda was reviewed by Council members. Council members agreed by consensus to accept the February 27, 2017 agenda as read.

(IV) The January 23, 2016 minutes were reviewed by Council members. Council members agreed by consensus to accept November 28, 2016 minutes.

(V) The Council reviewed and approved the Budget Reports.

(VI) Principal’s Report included: February events, March calendar, Kindergarten Registration, and March committee meetings

(VII) There was no New Business

(VIII) Parent comments included Elf on the Shelf being sometimes overboard for a public school, party gift exchanges being difficult, Kindergarten registration being congested outside the library, parent elections for SBDM will be held in May, and themes for Family Nights.

(IX) There were no teacher comments.

(X) Council members agreed by consensus to adjourn.
